Kathy offers a gentle and supportive approach. Following are her areas of specialty:
- Massage Therapy for rest, relaxation and nourishment!
- Mindful Touch Therapy: meditative awareness of the body. This approach invites each client into participatory observation, gently moving into a contemplative atmosphere while calming the nervous system and relaxing holding patterns in the body.
- Transformational Bodywork~ Bodywork as an inward journey. If the body is experiencing pain it is important to reconnect the mind with the body, to explore the pain and have it tell its story. Many physical conditions may be linked to unpleasant life experience and unexpressed emotions like grief, sadness, anger or frustration. Physical conditions like migraine headaches, TMJ pain, challenges in the belly or muscle tension may be helped through this approach. Kathy has studied & practiced Hakomi Therapy for the past 12 years.
- Oncology Massage Therapy: supporting the body/mind while journeying through a cancer diagnosis. Integrating comfort oriented touch, reflexology and warm stone therapy.
- End of Life Touch Therapy: offering gentle touch and quiet presence at end of life.
- Grief and the Body: when you are grieving, your body also grieves. Integrates gentle lessons in body awareness.
- Massage Therapy for: active seniors, frail elder, memory care and the care giver.
